St. Brigid's Parish Outreach invites you to break bread and share a bowl of soup at the Lenten Soup Supper. The gathering takes place on Tuesday, March 3 beginning at 6 pm in Monsignor Code Auditorium. The guest speaker is the Most Reverend Andzej Zglejszewski (Bishop On-jay), Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Rockville Centre. Please bring a non-perishable food item as an offering for the Outreach Pantry.

We are excited to announce a new automatic re-enrollment policy. Enrollment automatically renews each year until your child graduates from 8th grade. The purpose is to make it as easy as possible to re-enroll without going through an annual process of completing paperwork. For more information, see the attached document. Print out the acknowledgement form and return it to the office before January 24, 2020.

On June 13, 2019, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo signed legislation removing non-medical exemptions from school vaccination requirements for children. The United States is currently experiencing the worst outbreak of measles in more than 25 years, with outbreaks in pockets of New York primarily driving the crisis. This new law will help protect the public amid this ongoing outbreak. NB: It has been the policy of our school NOT to accept children who are not vaccinated. We are planning our Annual Fall Middle School Trip. We visit Boston, Washington and Philadelphia on a three-year cycle. This year we are going to Boston and Salem, Massachusetts on November 7 and 8. Our itinerary includes a Duck Tour of Boston on land and the Charles River aboard an amphibious vehicle, the Museum of Science, Faneuil Hall and Quincy Marketplace, a walking tour of the Freedom Trail, the Gallows Hill Experience in Salem including an interactive Mock Witch Trial, and Gallows Hill Walking Ghost Tour. Our Pre-K classes are conducting a Christmas Service Project for children battling cancer at Cohen Children's Medical Center and the Cancer Center for Kids at NYU Winthrop Hospital. Please consider donating a CRAFT, TOY or TOILETRIES. All donations MUST be new and unwrapped for the safety of the children we are donating to. Please send donations to school by Friday, December 20 so we can get them to the children before Christmas.
